This study day is for those who wants to learn about management of the menopause and know the basics of HRT but do not need in depth individualised prescribing knowledge.

             Terminology and definitions, basic physiology, outline POI and                        early menopause

1015     The symptom spectrum – connecting the dots

             Overview , effects, symptoms and bone/CV/urogenital,  impact at                    work and mid life stressors

11am   Coffee

1120     Non hormonal prescribing and self management                                              Prescribing  options, supplements  and tips and triggers

1150     Wellness, lifestyle and future health

           Weight, bones, hearts, bladder, sex, mind, emotions

1230    HRT 101 – the essentials

            Benefits, risks, contraindications, types, testosterone

1pm     Lunch

140      HRT checks and practical tips

2pm.   Breakouts  - practical application and discussion

3pm    Your toolkitResources, referrals and signposting,( including NICE)

330pm Discussion and Q&A

4pm.     Close

 Suitable for nurses, nursing associates, paramedics and others in primary care, occupational health, sexual health, gynae and other nurses. Open to all nurses and others if it is relevant to your work.
