Study Day for Occupational Health Nurses

Friday 25th November 2022

via zoom, 10am-3pm

Menopause and work. What does one have to do with the other?

Sometimes nothing. And it would be great if that was always the case.

But did you know?

  • 8 out of 10 women experiencing menopause in the UK will be working.

  • Women aged over 50 are the fastest growing demographic in the UK workplace.

  • During perimenopause, 75% get symptoms, 25% describe them as 'moderate' or severe'

  • 60% say symptoms have negative effect at work (CIPD)

  • Half of individuals don't seek medical help (Faculty of Occupational Medicine)

  • Workplace support can make a huge difference to wellbeing and productivity at this time
